Hey runners — no race closures this week, but the heat stays on and the Martinez Brothers SummerStage footprint at Rumsey Playfield fills Saturday evening. Monday at 82°F is the week’s clean window. Front-load anything that matters.

88°F Saturday, 84°F Sunday, 82°F Monday, 85°F Tuesday, 89°F Wednesday, 91°F Thursday, 87°F Friday. The heat doesn’t break — only Monday is genuinely comfortable. Every other day is early-morning discipline.

Sat 6/13 — Clean loop, 88°F, SummerStage crowd arriving evening

No loop events during running hours. The Martinez Brothers SummerStage show at Rumsey Playfield starts at 6 PM — crowds arrive from 4 PM onward, filling the paths around the 72nd Street Cross Drive and near Bandshell Plaza. Drives stay clear. Run in the morning. East Meadow is closed all day.

Sun 6/14 — 84°F, clean loop

No races, no drive events. Early morning gives you the best air — Bridle Path and Reservoir track have shade at dawn. East Meadow closure carries over; North Meadow and Great Lawn are your open alternatives. International Folk Dancers run all day at King Jagiello Plaza — zero loop impact.

Mon 6/15 — Best day (82°F, clean loop)

The week’s window. 82°F, sunny, nothing on the drives. Long run, quality workout, anything requiring full effort — do it Monday. The 40-in-Focus exhibit opens at the Arsenal today at 9 AM if you want a post-run reason to pause at the Fifth Avenue entrance.

Tue 6/16 — 85°F, drives clear

Clean loop. Heat’s back but manageable before 8 AM. Bowling Greens and Cedar Hill are closed for maintenance — no drive impact. Julius Caesar at The Pool Lawns starts at 5 PM; the approach path around 100th Street and West Drive gets foot traffic after 4:30 PM. Avoid lingering near The Pool after work-hours if you want clear lanes.

Wed 6/17 — 89°F, humidity rising

Wellness at the Park runs 9 AM–1 PM near the Great Lawn north side — no drive impact. Julius Caesar (5-10 PM, The Pool Lawns) and SummerStage both operating in the evening. Run before 7 AM or skip it. The Levin Playground maintenance closure lifts today.

Thu 6/18 — 91°F, SummerStage evening

91°F and humid. SummerStage at Rumsey Playfield operating. A private Starlight Dinner at Summit Rock (6–9 PM) puts a permit on that trail — not on the loop. Pre-dawn or nothing.

Fri 6/19 — 87°F, Juneteenth in Seneca Village

Juneteenth in Seneca Village runs 1–3 PM on West Drive near the 82nd–86th Street area — West Drive has foot traffic and possible permit staging in that stretch during the event. Plan a morning run and clear out before noon if you’re doing West Drive. Julius Caesar final night at The Pool Lawns (5–10 PM) draws evening crowds.
