About us

What is happening in the Park?

This website is born out of the need to know what is happening in Central Park, not to join in on what is happening, but to avoid it--to know when to steer clear of the crowds, the detours, the noise, and the chaos. It's a guide for those who want to enjoy the park on their own terms.

Born from the patrol

It all started with Poppy. Every day, she patrols the park from her sidecar. Nose up, ears back, spotting squirrels, shortcuts, and surprises.

Now, the stories and sightings from her patrol feed into something bigger: a guide that helps everyone enjoy the park.

The movement we're starting

Our goal is simple: to spark a warm, witty movement where neighbors and visitors see Central Park through curious eyes: Poppy's eyes, your eyes, our eyes. Because when the park feels alive, so do we.
