Pattern observations
The early-spring rhythm of the park has settled into a clear weekly shape:
- Sundays = community events (Folkdancers, sometimes Skate Circle, sometimes races)
- Saturday mornings = CRCA crit racing on East Drive
- Saturday daytime = stacked recreational events, often three or four at once across the park
- Weekdays = the calm, when the park belongs to walkers, runners, and birds
- The Pool Lawns are now a working outdoor theater venue through end of June
This week’s Saturday is dense even by recent standards — six concurrent events between 10 AM and 3 PM. Worth noting if you’re tracking when “busy” tips into “saturated.”
